John  and Maude
John Wesley and Maude Irene were Janet's maternal grandparents. A large strong man who farmed the lands of Texas after the war, John lived into his mid-90s.They had eight children: John Wesley, Jesse, Florence, Laura, Pauline, Roberta, Thomas and Irene. Quick witted and strong in spirit, Janet most remembers the laugh and the huge strong hands of her grandfather.

Wesley Clyde and Laura Ann

Wesley Clyde and Laura Ann are Janet's parents. Her father passed on while Janet and her sister, May, were very young. Wesley was a hard working man of high integrity, he was the patriarch of his family. While Laura struggled to make ends meet Janet was raised in a Masonic Home.

Frank Roberts Edrington  had a distinguished Naval career and was TCE III's brother. Here he is seen with his family. His son, Frank Edrington II  went to Annapolis.
