Putting a foot in the Artic Ocean at Prudoe Bay at the northern most part of Alaska ..........

.

...... or walking Joey in Eagle River under a double rainbow,
these are the moments in Alaska that stay with you

Eagle River got its name because the river there has a ton of eagles.
This eagle in flight is young; its head has not changed to white yet.

Seldovia is a quaint fishing village across Katchemak Bay 16 miles from Homer. From Anchorage, you will have an approximate 4.5 hours drive to Homer or a 45 minute  twin-otter plane trip   (Janet's favorite way to go to Homer).Seldovia, first settled by the Russians, offers one rest and relaxation in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

You have to leave you car in Homer; you can reach Seldovia by boat or plane. Once you are there, you can enjoy hiking, berry picking, mountain biking, fishing, and sight seeing in "old towne" Seldovia. There are several B&B places to stay. Our favorite was the Swan House there are plenty great fishing charter services in Seldovia. Relax and enjoy!!
