Brugal has made further progress in the past year in its mission to become the world’s number one ultra-premium rum. Over several years, Brugal has steadily strengthened its brand equity and delivered sustained profit growth.

The brand performed strongly in its core markets, consolidating its leadership in its home market of the Dominican Republic. In Spain, Brugal’s leading international market, the brand has reinforced its commitment to quality and offered consumers memorable experiences. Brugal’s ultra-premium expression, 1888 has continued to outperform the category, driven by strong performances in key markets such as the US, France and Global Travel Retail.

The La Casa Brugal programme has brought the brand and its history to consumers in key cities, using distinctive cultural settings to share Brugal's 135-year heritage, and its stories of five generations of a family dedicated to crafting exceptional rums.

We are proud to have introduced two outstanding products, Colección Visionaria and Maestro Reserva. These are produced using innovative new techniques and are cementing Brugal's reputation as a pioneering ultra-premium rum. 

We have made further progress in sustainability during the year, promoting the use of viñasse - a byproduct of rum distillation - as a bio-fertiliser in nearby sugar cane fields and increasing solar and renewable energy across our operations.

In the coming year we will invest across the business to strengthen our operations with the infrastructure and capabilities to support our ultra-premium vision and deliver further growth.

Ultimately, Brugal's people are at the heart of everything we do. We recognise that it is their passion and commitment that sets us apart and will drive Brugal to become the number one ultra-premium rum in the world.
