Although Edrington, as a privately owned company, is not required to comply with the UK Corporate Governance Code, the Board remains committed to upholding the highest standards of governance and corporate citizenship.

Accordingly, the Group voluntarily adopts those governance and disclosure practices that are considered appropriate and add value to both the organisation and its stakeholders.

Wates Principles

The board continues to adopt and apply many of the Wates Corporate Governance Principles for Large Private Companies (the ‘Wates Principles’) and this section outlines how Edrington has incorporated these principles into its business operations.
