Global Supply Chain
Our performance reflects a highly responsive operating model
Luis Garrido
Edrington's Global Supply Chain team has continued to make progress this year, delivering a strong performance and meeting its targets across quality, service, cost, efficiency and sustainability, all in a period of continued uncertainty.
The spirits industry continues to experience challenge and disruption, and our performance reflects a highly responsive operating model, with greater flexibility built into every aspect of our global supply chain. This ability to adapt at pace has been critical in maintaining supply, while protecting the quality and craft that Edrington brands are known for.
This sustained period of volatility has further strengthened collaboration across the business, with closer alignment between operations, brand and commercial teams supporting a disciplined and responsive approach to changing market conditions.
Progress on sustainability has continued at pace. More than 90% of our suppliers are now signed up to contribute towards our ambition of achieving net zero by 2045. We have also made progress in a number of operational initiatives, including renewable energy projects that will help to reduce emissions while supporting long-term resilience.
Within whisky supply, The Macallan Sherry Cask Company is now established, providing greater oversight of a critical element of our production process. As our Scotch Whiskies are defined by their 100% natural colour and sherry-seasoned character, this increased control supports our ambition to set the benchmark for quality across the industry.
The progress we have made this year reflects the expertise and commitment of our global supply chain teams around the world. Their ability to respond to a demanding environment while maintaining focus on Edrington's priorities positions Global Supply Chain well for the year ahead.
