Over the past year, we have seen significant shifts in the way that we work. We have adapted at pace and seen lasting benefits from accelerating our use of technology. And we have also been reminded just how powerful our culture can be in times of crisis.
I've been amazed by the incredible resilience and adaptability we have seen from our people around the world. At a time when home and work life were indivisible for many of us and others were coping with big changes in their work environment, we wanted to support our people. One of our first steps was to launch an employee assistance programme that provided a range of supports to employees and their immediate families. We expanded our existing wellbeing programme to help our people cope with the effects that the pandemic had on their lives.
We also launched a recognition platform, making it easier to thank colleagues who go above and beyond their usual roles to help others and enable the business to succeed.
We made further progress in cultivating a more diverse and inclusive environment, which celebrates the diversity of thinking that is essential to our long-term success. Information on the targets and actions within our diversity and inclusion agenda is set out in the Sustainability & Responsibility section of this report.
We developed a new employer brand campaign designed to attract talented people with ambitions to Make a World of Difference.
In the coming year, we will continue to build the skills and capabilities we need to deliver our strategy and give all our great people the best possible employee experience.
