"Edrington is again in the top quartile of global business for engagement"
Veronika Gunn-Boesch, Group HR Director
Edrington's Human Resources team has continued to invest in our resources, develop new skills, and strengthen our unique culture over the past year.
Since 2022, the company has filled over 1,300 positions, with half of these being new roles. This growth has presented a wide range of new opportunities for our current colleagues to expand their careers in new roles and locations, and nearly 40% of these positions were filled by Edrington employees.
We have also focused on skill development by launching several global learning programmes, including the Spirit of Leadership for our senior leaders. Bespoke programmes for frontline and mid-managers are being developed and are expected to be launched during the coming year.
In terms of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I), we have continued to build a work environment that is open and accepting of individual differences. Edrington has once again increased the number of women in senior leadership positions, exceeding our annual target, and the company has further reduced the gender pay gap in the UK. This year, Edrington was also recognised as a Carer Positive employer for its global carers policy.
A highlight of the year is our engagement score of 82%, which indicates that our culture is healthy and places Edrington in the top quartile of global businesses for the second year in a row. This excellent result is based on our highest ever survey participation rate, with 95% of our colleagues sharing their views.
In the coming year, our HR team will focus on fostering a learning culture throughout the business. This plays a crucial role in empowering our people to develop their skills and careers, cultivating an inclusive and high-performing environment where everyone can be their best.
