Edrington takes pride in its tradition of making a positive contribution to the communities in which it operates. Edrington’s 2025 strategy emphasises sustainability as one of three core aims contributing to our mission to “become the world’s best at crafting exceptional spirit brands loved by our consumers.”
Edrington has committed to a pathway to reach Net Zero by 2045. In the past year, the Company has committed to working with organisations that set global standards for sustainability reporting, including the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). In the climate change category of CDP, Edrington was pleased to be awarded a B rating in the initial submission, something we aim to build on in the future.
The Company has also embarked on a journey to incorporate the Taskforce for Climate Related Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations into our reporting. This focuses on the governance, strategy, risk management, targets and metrics for delivering against the Net Zero goal. This framework has allowed Edrington to expand its climate disclosure and improve processes for managing climate related risk within the business.
The Group is in the early stages of its journey with the TCFD recommendations, with mandatory reporting required next year. This report outlines the progress made against the recommendations and our steps towards being fully compliant.
