Learning & Development

At Edrington we believe that every employee should invest in their development, developing skills in their current role and building skills for the future. We have a multitude of employee-led options open to our colleagues from online academies to in-person development programmes and everything in between. We know that learning, development and igniting our employees' natural curiosity has a huge part to play in our success, therefore we take it seriously.

First 100 Days

The learning journey at Edrington starts on day one. Our blended onboarding approach ensures a positive employee experience that is educational, impactful and, of course, fun. While it’s important to integrate into your new role and team, we feel it’s also vital to understand Edrington’s history, culture & values, our industry-leading brands and the tools available to ensure your success.

This is delivered through a series of interactive sessions and digital activities such as ‘an hour with’ our executive team, virtual tours of our fantastic distilleries and sites around the world and the opportunity to network with colleagues from across the globe.

Edrington Academy

We have hugely talented and passionate individuals throughout our entire business who continue to challenge themselves, and the way we work, every day. To support this, and enhance our colleagues learning experience, we use the 70/20/10 model to help develop the right skills and capabilities within the business.

The biggest enabler of this model is the Edrington Academy. The academy allows us to create bespoke learning experiences based on the skills our colleagues want to develop. Available on both desktop and mobile, this includes world leading books, articles, videos and courses to allow individuals to drive and control their learning journey, when and where they want.

Early Careers

Edrington fosters a learning culture and, we such, we offer graduate opportunities, apprenticeships and internships to develop a pipeline of high potential future leaders who will help Edrington realise its ambitions.

These early careers pathways offer work experience enveloped with formal training, mentoring and coaching to enhance learning, support career advancement and develop your personal and professional skills.

Leadership

Leadership Development

Edrington takes pride in developing our people’s leadership capabilities. At every stage in the career lifecycle, we have a programme to cultivate the future leaders of our business.

Our structured courses engage our emerging talent by giving them the tools and resources to become an effective leader, allow managers to build their own leadership toolkits and offer our senior leaders a range of collaborative learning experiences to fine tune and hone their already well-developed leadership skills.

We believe you never stop learning!

Learning at Work

Our annual Learning at Work festival encourages employees around the globe to focus on their learning and development through a series of seminars, talks and workshops from internal and external experts in their field.

The topics are broad and varied spanning business updates, technical skills, industry knowledge and health & wellbeing initiatives. The month brings like-minded colleagues across our business together to connect, share and learn.
